✍️ Naming Art

Chinese Naming Conventions

Traditional Chinese names consist of a surname (family name) followed by a given name. The given name often carries symbolic meaning related to virtues, nature, or aspirations. Character and place names in Black Myth: Wukong follow these conventions.

Title System (称号 Chēnghào)

Honorific titles that indicate status, power, or achievement. In Journey to the West, figures like Sun Wukong have multiple titles: "Great Sage Equal to Heaven," "Monkey King," etc.

Symbolic Names

Many character names in the game carry symbolic meaning. For example, "Wukong" means "awakening to emptiness," reflecting the character's spiritual journey.
